A Bridge Between Research and Decision-Makers<\/span><\/h2>\n

IPBES in Denmark was established in 2016 as a collaboration between Danish universities and the Ministry of Green Tripartite Cooperation. This national partnership is rooted in the global IPBES initiative\u2014biodiversity\u2019s equivalent of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change\u2014which today includes more than 150 participating nations, including all EU countries. <\/p>\n

The purpose of the Danish collaboration is to strengthen knowledge about and communication regarding biodiversity and nature\u2019s contributions to people (ecosystem services). This is achieved by bridging the gap between research and decision-makers\u2014but also by disseminating the latest knowledge about the biodiversity crisis and possible courses of action to society at large. <\/p>\n
