The call for proposals encourages interdisciplinary collaboration and innovative thinking and does not have a predefined theme. Nor is the call limited to specific sectors or geographic areas.  <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The request for proposals focuses on two key aspects:<\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>To enhance understanding of the relationships and connections between biodiversity loss, climate change, and pollution as pressing crises.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>To identify and analyze transformative processes that can help conserve biodiversity and address the threats that cause the loss of biodiversity and ecosystem services.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The new call for research proposals is yet another example of how the topic and concept <em>of \u201ctransformative change\u201d<\/em>\u2014which in Danish can be translated, for example, as \u201cradical change\u201d\u2014 is gaining ever greater attention and significance as a necessary paradigm shift to avert the biodiversity crisis.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">IPBES defines transformative change as the need for fundamental and far-reaching changes across the economy, society, and the environment.
